circles and ovals
one of three photos for circles and ovals. all of these photos were shot in a diner that my family enjoys a visit to every now and again, but that's not really important. I chose to carry most of the weight in the center and left side of the image as i thought it worked well. Once I had taken the photo i took it into lightroom to start editing it. once it was in lightroom i started doing some basic editing like adjusting the colour, clarity and the white balance. I then went in with a mask to select just the cup and adjusted the colour of the cup and made the ice in the cup more defined.

this is a photo of a jukebox radio thing (I don't quite know what its called but it looked like a jukebox and worked like a radio). I chose the focus to be this star in the center of a red circle surrounded with intricate detailing and neon lights. Through the editing process of this image i know i wanted to try to make the star more defined while boosting the colours in the neon lights.

I thought the composition could be interesting when using this interesting glass bowl with the butter containers in it but it wasn't as nice as I thought it would be so I just tilted the camera and this is what happened. This isn't my best photo of the bunch but there were worse. I know with this I wanted the chair in the background to show more of the yellow hue to tie in with the butter containers. I also attempted to make the details in the containers and the glass bowl and I was sorta successful.

patterns
This is just a photo of the same cup that was in the first image of circles and ovals. the cup displays a pattern of circles all across the outside of the glass. I wanted to make the pattern more pronounced and to do that I messed around with the strength of the shadows and the brightness of the highlights. I think it worked out quite well.

Glass
I didn't really have anymore ideas for this assignment so I decided to try just looking around my house for glass objects and this bad boy popped up. Something about this image draws me to it but i don't know what, maybe it's the memories the glasses hold. I don't know and now i'm off topic. this image is nearly all black and white with the exception of the blue and yellow under tones in certain places in this image. again to get the full definition of the glass i messed around with the highlights and shadows in the image to make the detail pop just that bit more.
